What is established

The vendor report distinguishes locally completed work, which does not consume Perplexity Computer credits, from work escalated to cloud models. That is not a claim that the entire setup has no cost, nor that every connected workflow is fully offline.

The Cereal reading

A realistic first offer could be: give us a small, approved sample of your recurring document mess, and we will show whether an exception report saves you effort. Avoid promising a universal assistant. Define the fields to extract, how uncertain results are marked and who signs off on the output.

Measure the pilot against a human baseline. Count missed items and false alarms as well as minutes saved. A workflow that is fast but creates a second verification job may not be a good business. The most useful result of a pilot can be learning that the customer needs a simpler form rather than an AI system.

Before taking live files, agree on access, retention and permitted destinations. Local execution is a useful characteristic, but it is not a substitute for checking each connector and each step. This is an operational checklist for the proposed service, not a finding about any customer deployment.

EXPLORE: Test demand before buying hardware. Ask for a concrete recurring problem and a measurable acceptance test. No revenue figure is justified until someone has actually agreed to pay for the result.
